Re: Why yes, this is the successful Hackintosh build thread!
Same here and totally confirmed. This is just the best PT rig I ever had, and if I were to build another one for myself I'd go with this one again.
I don't see an issue with Haswell though. Reports have been positive thus far.

Re: Why yes, this is the successful Hackintosh build thread!
I as well have been running a Hackintosh for over a year now. Have never had to mess with anything that didn't come from the App Store. Running Pro Tools 10 and 11 but am waiting out the Mavericks thing as I don't want to lose running 10 and 11 alternately. Use the latest buyer's guide on TonyMac and you should be fine.
I'll echo "Best Pro Tools computer I've ever run."

Re: Why yes, this is the successful Hackintosh build thread!
Mine's still running strong, too. :)
Haven't changed a thing, either. Hanging on to 10 for a little while longer. Still stuck to some of my old plugins that aren't making the migration. Also waiting for Mavericks to smooth over. Rather avoid Mountain Lion altogether if I can.

Re: Why yes, this is the successful Hackintosh build thread!
I want to build one for my PTHD system. Any issues with cards fitting or anything I need to know about the motherboard as it relates to successfully installed HD cards on the MB?
Also, a separate question, does anyone know if you can mix PCIe and PCI HD cards on the same computer as long as the MB has available slots?

Re: Why yes, this is the successful Hackintosh build thread!
PCI-x cards have to be natively supported on the mobo - ie chipset

Re: Why yes, this is the successful Hackintosh build thread!
Are you aware of any MB's that support both PCIe and PCI/x that will also be useable with a Hackintosh build?

How many legacy PCI-slots do you need?
