transport play/start location problems

Hi, Folks! I am having a problem with my PT......let me say up front that I bought my setup about 16 months ago and have worked with it very little due to time constraints and new house/space issues. i have had this problem intermittently since I first got it set up.

During times of recording either midi or audio, after working for a while the "start/play" point will reset to the beginning. i have made no changes in the settings.....it just starts from out of nowhere. Sometimes the start point starts actually scrolling back towards the beginning while the song is actually playing.....it just slides along. The page also stops scrolling.

this tends to happen more often once I get about 8-10 tracks of audio going.

Anyone have any ideas? Is there a combination of settings that I might have wrong?

My Mac recently upgraded to 10.4.11. Must have been set up to auto upgrade......i turned that off. I have had this problem from the beginning. I see no difference in how the software runs from before the OS upgrade.

I have PT upgrade ????/issues as well but will post those seperately.
