Default ALL IK Multimedia Plugs are Causing Me GRIEF!!!

hey all

just upgraded my computer to a mac pro (2008 model) so i've been busy loading her up with all of my software and getting ready for the new year.

here's what's happening. i'm running an HD2 Accel system, ProTools 8.0.5. Everything works great except my IK Multimedia Plugs (samplemoog, sampletron, sonic synth, and sample tank). when i insert any one of these plugins, after playing them for a few seconds the sound just cuts out. if i press play on my transport i get the sound back but again within a few seconds of playing the track stops and i get error -9128 "you are running out of cpu power. remove some rtas plug-ins or increase the cpu usage limit in the playback engine dialog." problem is, i'm working in a 'test' session that has only about 6 tracks open and NO other rtas plugs and my cpu usage is maxed at 95%.

can anyone help me solve this problem? i'm not banking on any help from either ik or avid. would appreciate any help and feedback. i really rely on these plugs in my work and i've got a show that i start composing for in 3 weeks. YIKES!!!

thanks in advance.

...fikafer

here's my cpu specs:

mac pro 2 x 2.66 GHz dual-core intel xeon
6 gb ram
os 10.6.8

Your specs seem more to be a 2006 Mac Pro btw. ( I hope you bought the machine from a trusted source...and didn´t pay more than $600 )

You should put in the playback engine window, number of cores to what you have minus 1. In your case you seem to have 4 cores in the machine so put it to 3 cores in the playback engine window.
