Default Playback engine refuses to give the option I need

Hello,

These are my specs:

2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Mac OS X Lion

I've uninstalled and installed to trouble shoot many times, I've researched the forums and tussled with this for some time now - Built-in Input, Built-in Output, and Pro Tools Aggregate I/O are the only things I'm seeing in the Playback Engine; I'm getting no sound from my hardware interface (MBox). It continues defaulting to the built-in speakers. I've gone to apple > System Preferences > 'Avid CoreAudio Device' is available as an input and output, I gave that a go, upon checking the Playback Engine, Avid CoreAudio Device isn't available and it defaults to internal speakers the moment I play something back. Does anybody have experiencing pertaining to how this may be resolved? Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Have you installed the latest drivers for the Mbox

Launch pro tools holding the N key to open without any assigned audio engine, and in the playback engine settings page. select the Mbox as the audio engine/interface.

That should be it

Chris
