Default Bounce the exact same length every time?

In Cubase, I can set project markers for where my song begins and ends, so when I bounce out versions or stems, they are always exactly the same length. Is there a way to do this in Pro Tools? If I set markers is there a way to tell it to bounce between them? This would be super helpful when I’m sending out files for people to do overdubs too.

Thanks

You can save a memory location as a “selection” and recall it for the bounce.

What I do is have an empty mono audio tracker the top of the session that I drag across and make Clip Group (you CAN do that with empty space). I select that when I do my Bounces and it stays the same. You can also place a 2-pop, sync tone or a count-off in that Clip Group and track.

Drop markers, highlight from marker to marker. Zoom in to fine tune.

I never use markers, for what it is worth. Impementation of markers in PT is nothing to brag about. Bouncing, I always select timeline for exact time I want to bounce.

Like Kerry says; just make a selection across the timeline for the length you want, save a memory location with "selection" and zoom (if you want) as the attributes. Then all you need to do is select that marker and bounce/commit. In my sessions it's part of the template so the 'print' selection is always on the same marker. Memory Locations / Markers are fairly powerful and can be almost anything: location, selection, zoom level, show/hide tracks, group enables, etc.

In case anyone is interested, my bounce markers is a track full of silence and a clip cut from that nonsense. Simple and sample accurate, can have as many as you wish. Never use PT markers.

I just create a MIDI track as the very last channel and create a selection. Click on it to select it and bounce the same exact length every time. I also create a fadeout on the Master mix fader in case there's any slight reverb that could get cut off.

I import (or create) a reference mix and always grab that just before bouncing. It's become second nature now but starting off a bounce without the correct length selected used to be something that caught me out almost every other time.
