Default Avid Drives crash ATTO Drives!- Steve or anybody

Several ATTO drives formatted using Express Pro Tools 2.3.2 running perfectly connected SCSI 64 Kit on a Mac G4/500 Dual with 1GB RAM. Pro Tools Mix Plus with AV Option Excel/Digi 13 slot chassis. When an Avid drive which is used with the AudioVision in our other studio is hooked up it does not mount. So I used the procedure to mount non-ATTO drives(inhibit driver loading etc). After copying files from Avid Drive to ATTO drive the ATTO drive does not mount!! All sorts of issues arise.
Please let me know what is the procedure
Thanks in advance
