Bought a plugin that's turned out to be a "massive pack" ver

Does that mean, that this plugin has some limitations? I see sometimes people selling plugins and pointing out that the plugins are NOT massive pack versions.
The problem I have is that I got MasterX 3 (massive pack version) on new ilok and I am trying to get it working with my mix system OS 10.3.9 and PT 6.4 and PT gives me "no authorizer on ilok" message.
I asked TC before my purchase and they told that MasterX HD will authorize older verions as well.

Massive pack versions have their own installer, different from the non MP versions, so you need to get the Massive pack installer for MasterX from TC.

ok, the first link is the one I got my MasterX from and that's the verion saying I don't have MasterX on my Ilok, but I do. I have MasterX HD MassivePack6 on my ilok. I'm not sure if there ever was a MassivePack6 MIX version installer created at all...
I will wait to see what TC will answer me.

I have this MP6 MasterX3 problem also! It's causing big problems on some sessions that I've been recalling for a client. I remember a similar problem with Eventide Factory(MP5) and also the EMI 12412 & 12414 program EQs.

On the EMI plugs, the developer had a library installed on his machine that allowed the MIX version plugs to run, but that library was not present in the shipping installer. The programmer/developer caught the error & personally sent me an installer with the MIX components present, which allowed my to run the EMI program EQs on my MIX6 rig. This fix was then bundled into the shipping installer (Feb 2007 -ish) Very appreciated!

I have also submitted a comment to TC. Perhaps I should send a direct email also? I really need to get this plug working, as switching to the Massey L2007 works, but is changing the sound a bit too much (from the original X3 mixes--understandably.)

Here's the MP6 support page, but no download for MasterX, there was a seperate DVD with the MP6 installers on? try and ask if someone can upload the MP6 installer for you!
If TC don't get back to you soon.

Though you might have another problem with the auth that you have as its fixed to MP6 installer and that is a new version for PT7+ and it might not work on earlier versions!!

I'm sorry, but they have a total mess at the TC support site:

Right here they say that MasterX used challenge-response autorization up to version 3.5 and from there on the plugs use Ilok auth:

But then here it is said that MasterX used challenge-response authorization up to version 3.9!! Also they say here, that current version is MasterX 4.0 and there is a link that should lead to installer but is broken.

Just heard back from Mike at TC.

He said to make sure the PACE Drivers are up to
5.4.1 at least & that should resolve the problem.
Hopefully it won't make any NEW problems
IE Phoenix dies...btw, I have HD too but at home
I have MIX.

Here's the link to the compat docs which also links to Pace 5.4.1

Will post tomorrow my results. Give 'er a shot

Oops, here's the email / link; DOH!

The PACE driver is linked on the TC link below,
and it takes you to PaceAp.com and presents only
the latest PACE installer, 5.6

iLok 5.4.1 and higher is required for MX3 to run.
There is no way around that.

No luck here

I have a MasterX authorizer at my ilok (from massive pack6) and MasterX 3.9 at my computer with MIX hardware and it won't authorize the plug no matter TC support said it would at first. I asked them before I went out and bought this plug for that system. Now TC does not reply to emails. I think they know they screwed up.
If anyone knows if there IS a solution please speak up. I have tried to install MasterX 4 for HD but it is totally another plug standard and system wont even know it's there.

Yes the Master x5 TDM Authorization will also Allow use for Pro Tools 6.x (authorization and software version are two separate things).
