Default PT Feature Suggestion - AutoDate

I have a feature suggestion. I don't know about you, but for EVERY PT project I have EVER created over the past 13 years, I have started the filename with the date (e.g. 2020-02-04). I would like it if PT would allow for the date to be automatically added to the beginning of the Project Name if I wanted it to.

I have tried to make this automatic by created a ream of various AppleScript actions and NONE of them work when the New Project window is active, therefore, I can't simply add a keystroke shortcut and have the system paste today's date in for me.

If anyone knows how to do that, I'm open to suggestions. If I'm the only one, then I'll sit down. :)

Thank you

I used to do that years ago, but there’s no real need. Just sort your folder by date created/date modified etc.

I assume that’s why you want it right?

Yea and the real solution to keyboard-based problems is to learn how to type properly. Like not watching your fingers while you type. You would be amazed how fast you can type...

Same goes for playing musical keyboards and guitar. Had a piano teacher who scolded me for watching my hands as I played.

I don't date projects but I do date mixes. I've found Keyboard Maestro to be helpful in this regard. (see for instance https://wiki.keyboardmaestro.com/Dates_and_Times )

Yup, do this every day with Keyboard Maestro; I have one ("ymd") for "yyyy-mm-dd" and one ("YMD") for "yymmdd" formats. Very handy.
