Default Dividing Large session into tracks

So I recorded a live acoustic thing the other night (50 min long) and I did my editing and bounced the session. Now I want to divide the whole thing into different tracks.

I really dont want to have to create 10 different session in Pro Tools and bounce them all seperatly. I have Toast with Jam, but the only way I have been able to create seperate tracks with Jam is to import the same long song 10 different times, and then adjust the start and stop points of each imported long song to make it eventually play like 10 seperate songs. This takes a very long time and is very tedious.

I just want to be able insert a track point. Am I missing something with Toast and Jam?? Are there any other software programs that offer this feature. If someone could point me in the right direction!!

Default Re: Dividing Large session into tracks

I recently needed to record a cassette with 12 songs into a Pro Tools session so I could make a cd out of it, but I didn't want to create 12 different sessions. What I did was to create 1 session with 12 stereo tracks.

I then recorded all 12 songs onto one very long stereo track. I then split up the songs, putting each song onto its own stero track. When I bounced each song, I simply muted all the other tracks, except the tracks I was bouncing. That also allowed me to use whatever plug-ins I needed on that stereo track alone. Maybe this will give you some ideas.

Create regions for each song.. then export the region definitions into the sound file.. then use the regions in Jam instead of the sound file.
