Default Rewire Help Needed Using Reason With Pro Tools

I am trying to insert two mono Reason inserts into a stereo aux. track in Pro Tools LE. What am I doing wrong? Reason does not seem to like having two instances of Reason on one Aux track. I have read that this is possible. My only work around so far...is creating a separate aux. channel for individual left and right channels.
Please help... What am I doing wrong?
-Create first mono Reason insert on a stereo aux. track in Pro Tools
-In Rewire window...Assign channel number 3, left channel, and hit the unlink button
-Create second mono Reason insert on a stereo aux. track in Pro Tools
-In Rewire window...Assign channel number 4, right channel, and hit unlink button.

You never said what exactly is going wrong; are you getting an error? Is the sound not as you expected it to be? Is there no sound?

Put each Reason on a mono aux and bus these mono aux's to a stereo aux.

Oh yeah, that's right! (been a long time since I've done that) Ducky hit the nail on the head. One softsynth/rewire cancels out the other if on the same track.

When I toggle between the L insert and the R insert...The right insert keeps defaulting to the left channel in the Rewire window. The insert above seems to be cancelling out the one below. I do see both level meters moving...but it appears to be just the left channel showing up on both meters.
Also... I was wondering what the two small Left and Right channel square buttons actually do???
You can select Left/Right in the drop down box also. Do you have to use both? I have tried every combination...but I can't get the second insert to stay on as the Right channel.

Why you would want to do this, I don't know.
Older versions of PT would only do Stereo L&R on a stereo aux; no other channels.

The reason I recommend using mono aux tracks for Reason is that you can now have a different output for each channel comming from Reason. You will not be stuck with only Left and Right coming out of Reason's patchbay.

Can I ask something here, what are you trying to achieve with inserting Reason twice on a Stereo AUX?

Yes... The individual mono aux tracks was the only way I could make it work. I thought I had read that you could create two mono reason inserts on one stereo aux track. Evidently...that is not possible. It just seems like a lot of work to bring in every stereo Reason instrument and two separate aux channels in Pro Tools. You then have two separate faders you have to deal with one mixing. Unless... You bus these two L/R tracks to yet a third stereo fader.
