Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56
After doing more reading and finding out the new Digi 003+ rack I purchased from MF last week has long been discontinued, plus for the fact it didn't work very good right out of the box. I have seen on here a lot of people recommend and like the Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56,and after looking at other options, I ordered it. Was this a good choice? I'll be using Pro Tools 10.
I had previously used the E-Mu 1818m and E-mu 1616m and the one thing I hated was the "Patchmix" software which I absolutely despised. I noticed that on the Saffire 56 it looks to have a similar software. Is it just as complex as the E-Um Patchmix? From all the reading and videos I have watched this looks to be an incredible interface and people rave about it. If I want to increase my number of channels is the Behringer ADA8000 (using the ADAT lightpipe) a good choice? BTW on another note... also got my first Mac (Mac Mini Quad Core i7 with 2.0ghz prcessor and with 8g of ram)this past week. This is like a new foreign language to me especially after using PC for over 19 yrs....But I got to say I love it...It's gonna take some getting use to. |
