Default Surround panning with panpots

Hi there,
is there any simple way to use 2 rotary encoders for surround panning: front-rear & left-right instead of front-rear + leftFront-rightFront + LefrRear-RightRear?

thanks

I was told there are 2 ways-map 3 controls to faders and use 3 fingers or just use third hand

very disappointing indeed

Yes, by Digi getting rid of the rear panner and going to a X-Y style for the pan control. I've been begging them to do this for awhile. Going with X-Y will allow D-Command owners to have effective surround panning with the two encoders it has, and allow the LFE level control to be on the first page on a D-Control strip. Hopefully it will happen in a future release.

How about making the surround panner available as a standalone device - why not have it available as an additional ethernet controller?
