Default Generating Tempo/Click-Track based on Time Marks

Hi all,

Brand new ProTools user here, I've had ProTools 12 up and running on my PC (Windows 8) for all of two hours total so far, so sorry if this has been answered elsewhere; I frankly don't know what keywords to search. So please allow me to explain what I want to do and hopefully some of you can point me to the right features/tools that I can then figure out how to use.

Background:

So I'm trying to write a score to match a pre-existing video. So I went and wrote down all the time marks for relevant hits/section changes, then calculated how many beats there would be between each one at the rough tempo I wanted. I then wrote the score based on that, and have it more or less how I want it. However, it doesn't line up exactly because my calculations were rough/rounded.

My question/problem:

I want to generate a click track that the conductor can use so that things will line up /exactly/ with the video. So rather than qtr = 200 I imagine it'll be something goofy like qtr = 203.53676576 or something.

In the basic tutorials I've watched, I know markers are a thing, so I figure I can set markers to match the time stamps I need. How can I get ProTools to calculate the exact tempo so that x number of beats fit between those markers?

Thank you very much, and sorry if this is poorly worded; again, this is my very first time so I don't know what the proper terminology is.

Identify Beat. Command I.

This is what allows you to build a tempo map.
