Replacement for Waves C6 / Crashing PT.

I'm asking for your help. Seems that C6 is crashing my PT sessions from time to time. I can open it to modify the settings and it'll either crash PT or just function as expected. There's really no answer to why it happens. I can open it 4-8 times before the next time it crashes PT while I'm adjusting a setting (go figure) or I can open it on a different session and I don't have a problem at all. Instead of going back and forth with Waves or on any user forum, I'll just like to find a replacement that's as easy to use and can get the same if not better results. Any suggestions and comments would be helpful and greatly appreciated as well as your experiences.

C6 is a multi band comp, not a dynamic EQ. There's a big difference. MB comps split the audio up into frequency bands with crossovers (and their subsequent phase shift), compress the signals, then sum them back together. With a MB comp, there can be no overlap in the bands.

A Dyn EQ doesn't split the audio up. And because of that, bands can overlap.

Despite having less bands and some feature differences; I find McDSP ML4000 is a very powerful tool..

Blue Cat Audio MB-7 is worth a look. But having said that, the C6 should NOT be crashing so I would make sure you have the right version for your version of OS and PT. Maybe remove and re-install the plugin(or all Waves)

I'm pretty sure I tried that a couple of times but I'll try it again. I read somewhere on this site about others having crashing issues with some other Waves plugins as well. C6 is such a part of my workflow that I hate to give up on it in PT but I'm tried of the crashes.
