Omni Remote connection?

I find the Omni very useful for daily overdubs and mixing ITB. I just can't track through it.

Assuming there's not a firmware revision needed do you think it's possible to "hack" the remote port in anyway? I'd love even just a separate way of controlling monitor output. Techy-types - What do you think the remote port would normally be fed to create behaviours?

Or maybe Avid could just publish the specs and let some developers make their own?

Are you aware that the Ideascale site is malware? If you signin via twitter, it you are allowing it to post on your feed. If you sign in with google, you have to agree to allow the site to manage your photos/videos and CONTACTS!!!

I'll add my +1 for a Omni remote.

But i don't se any point in just a volume knob.
It should also be able to control the preamps and mute/unmute the output.

I really thought eucon would control the omni. I can' believe we don't have a remote yet. I'm gonna guess that if we don't have one at this point, the remote port will never be used.

Sadly, I agree. I would love to see Eucon be able to control volume in an elegant manner, or a dedicated remote, but doubt either will see the light of day. Avid seem to have been heads down in their new Avid everywhere software vision, and hence little progress on Eucon and other Pro Tools developments. Sigh.....
