Default glitchy knobs

Hello, I have an artist control and some of the knobs are starting to lose their responsiveness. As they turn the parameter glitches back and forth and it usually takes a lot of turning for it to register a full rotation.

Could this be caused by dust? If so is there an official/supported way to clean them without affecting the smoothness?

Default Re: glitchy knobs

Unfortunately this is normal even on brand new units.
We have 2 controls and 3 mix units in our studios and all of the rotary encoders are jumpy. Especially when trying to do precise panning to picture it can be quite difficult.

Frank.
