Probably run as admin, because I meant that installing the latest version of Quicktime can help sometimes.

Try installing the latest version of Quicktime (which Pro Tools and some plugins need for certain functions) then you will know for sure.

If it is Run as Admin, you can setup Pro Tools to default to that so you don't need to right click every time.

guys im having the same issue...

fresh install of PT 12.5
win 7 ent sp1
lenovo yoga 12

i get...
Assertion in "..\ ..\ Sys\ Win32\ Sys_VolumeWin32.cpp", line 241.

when i load any plugin except master meter, trim, or signal gen.

i've tried running as admin, trashing prefs, deleting quick time installing new version, rebooting alot...

my engine is asio4all running the internal card. it plays back and records fine.

help!

here is a shot of d3 plugin, its working i can hear it and the new dynamics meter is showing GR but i cant actually open the plugin to change any settings.

well after my 40$ call with avid it seems that win 7 is supported by win7 enterprise isn't so its a new OS or i have to fall back to pt10
