When PT 2018.10 opens - creates file that is named "DEBUG"

Hi!

When I downloaded PT 2018.10 everytime I start to open PT it creates a file that is named "DEBUG". When I try to open the file, it goes to Word and there is nothing written. I have tried other program, but there's nothing.

Do someone have this problem?

I don't see that but on a mac there's a "derby.log" on users home directory, and it looks like Avid is starting Apache (web server) somewhere. Don't know why, but it looks like AppMan stuff

Derby is a small database format.
They are probably using it instead of writing log files. I believe Derby stores in XML format and much more light weight.
Windows apps have a similar small SQL server database that runs in the background also. Apps read and write to it while they are open.
Could have multiple reasons but most likely for logs.
