Default Music BG

What is your go-to source for music in BG? In my case (playing in a mini-market) for a indie-feature.

(I read in a Pro Tools Expert article that there 50 free music tracks from Sound Ideas. Unfortunetly did not find this in the download section of my Avid account.)

Best choice: license it directly from a band that has the perfect track. This is not necessarily expensive.

Most common choice: get an account with Universal Production Music, Warner Chappell or 5 Alarm Music. They have huge libraries and reasonable prices. You'll find what you need quickly.

Bad choice: Pond5 or SoundIdeas

Illegal choice: YouTube rip

Good luck!

Thanks Nat!
We'll probably go with the 'direct band' or the 'Production Music' option.

Production company I mix a lot for uses artist.io - there are some good tracks, not all of them but a big pool and pricing seems reasonable for indie stuff
