Default Strange Behaviour from Mix|Plus & 888|24\'s

Hello All,

I just purchased a used Mix|Plus system w/ a couple of 888|24's, and have encountered a strange phenomena on startup. When I open a project, the LEDs will show activity on outputs that aren't even activated, and occasionally the LEDs will flare with activity when there isn't even a project open. Here are my system specs:

Apple PMG4 867
Mac OS 10.3.5
Pro Tools TDM 6.4
Mix|Plus
888|24 (x2) - connected using a 'Y' cable to the core card
Apogee Big Ben - 888|24's connected to WC outputs 5/6 (both set to fs256)

When I first performed the installation, the entire setup worked flawlessly. Then this morning I booted everything up and all hell broke loose. I have the 888|24's set to internal clock (though they both register as being in slave mode when connected to the big ben) and all connections are solid throughout each signal chain.

If anyone has experienced a similar situation, or has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Richard Conrad

p.s. has anyone else experienced difficulty downloading the TDM 6.4.1 update using a TDM 6.4 authorization code?

Pro Tools 6.4 will not work with MIX systems. And the 6.4 license for HD will not work with 6.4.1 or allow access to the download, as it says on the 6.4.1 download pages.

The Pro Tools 6.4.1 download is a free update for Pro Tools 6.0 through 6.2.3 MIX owners only. If you never upgraded your MIX system to Pro Tools 6, you would need to purchase the upgrade to 6.4.1 for $35 (USD) from the online DigiStore. The 6.4.1 upgrade does not require any previous installation of Pro Tools.
