I was on their site last night around 7pm CST and it was fine. I tried to go back this morning around 7am CST and found that nice surprise. I'm wondering if MCDSP even knows about it. They lock up on the weekends and dont leave a contact number.

I actually just upgraded to the everything bundle tuesday. I hope the hacker wasn't able to access their billing records. Mine are still fresh.

Hi,

Thats the problem! i've tried to send e-mails to them! hopefully someone will have informed Colin McDowell by now, but if anyone does have any way to contact someone at McDsp its better to by contacted by many rather than none.

Passing along this information from McDSP:

You can visit www.McDSP.com once again. The invasive code which redirected the McDSP home page has been completely removed. Additionally, it is important to know that no user, iLok, or transaction information is stored locally on the webserver, so there was no compromise of any customer information.

It was ugly. I felt so bad seeing this. Not worthy of repeating here. I sure hope McDSP move their site to a new server provider. A business with this kind of traffic should be on a dedicated server with a hardware firewall. Granted there is no way to prevent a true criminal from breaking in, anywhere... but the hackers that do this are just looking for exploits. A fully hardened server on a dedicated box, with reasonable security precautions typically don't get hacked by the kids looking to leave their mark.

I really hope so. I had bought a plugin yesterday morning about an hour before it was hacked......

Wait and see what happens I suppose
