Default Can't find drivers

Alright, I got my Mbox2 Mini about three years ago. At the time I had ProTools, the Mbox, and a microphone. I now only have the Mbox and microphone. When I try to connect the Mbox 2 Mini to my computer (Dell XPS 15z if that matters) it says that there is a problem installing the drivers. I looked it up and it said that I need ProTools because those drivers are automatically installed when ProTools is installed. I also read that there is an alternative but I can't find it. Can anyone help me out? I don't want to buy ProTools again.

Thank you

"I now only have the Mbox and microphone"..." I don't want to buy ProTools again"

So if it's not Pro Tools you are going to use what program are you going to use?

You will need drivers compatible with whatever program you use. Usually the best way to find drivers is on the programs website e.g Pro Tools drivers on Avid website etc.

yes it does actually and so does you OS and a bunch of other things that may or may not be related to the setup you are trying to make.

Ho can you no longer have Pro Tools ? Which version was that ? I'm thinking PT 8 since you mention about 3 years ago. PT LE in those days was authorisation code protected but anyhow - all you need is the installer that came with your MBox really. You don't need to authorise or even use pro tools to use the drivers. You just need to install it.

Later versions started to use standalone drivers :

see if any of that helps

I was going to try to use Mixcraft if that is compatible.

I'm pretty sure it was Pro Tools 8. I'm not sure where the disc is from my M Box either. It is most likely lost in a drawer somewhere. I will check out the link. Thank you.
