Bought DigiLink I/O last year. Avid support says it "expires" soon. Really??
DigiLink licensing question here for you all!
So Avid Support has informed me that my DigiLink I/O License that I purchased just about a year ago is "expiring" shortly. Case no. 03951672 I have a used HD Omni, so the license was purchased separately last May. Ilok manager shows no expiration date however it does have a "Release Limit" for that expiration date (5/30/2020). I believe that people that have their DigiLink license tied to their regular Perpetual Ultimate Licenses have that date updated every time they renew support. So there's no worry of it all of a sudden not working. My concern is that my license will stop working the next time I update to a new version of Pro Tools released after 5/30. Or worse, it truly does expire in a few days, yikes. Has anyone run into this? Anything to be worried about? If it does "expire" as Avid Support has said (their words) that would be bonkers since I paid the $300 once already! thanks, Ted |

Bumping this up to see if anyone's dealt with this! I realize the pool of people who needed to purchase a DigiLink I/O is probably a bit small...

Create a support case detailing this issue. I didn’t think these licenses were supposed to expire. I did escalate your post to the admins but no telling how soon they might see it.

I did create a support case last week and got the response I cited in my post a few days ago. I responded but haven't heard anything since. I'm sure they are bogged down... |

Support got me taken care of. Definitely a glitch / error in their system. So, if anyone experiences a similar issue with their DigiLink I/O license, Avid will take care of you.
