It depends on what the renewal date is for your support and upgrade plan is. If you haven't gone past that date then just go to your Avid account and download the latest version of PT. Even though the license itself is perpetual - support & upgrade isn't and that is paid on a yearly basis.

Thanks for the answer. My plan ended in September 2019 and I want to buy a new one, but my account doesn't have an upgrade button(see att). I don't want to switch to a subscription. I just want to upgrade.

You can’t.

They no longer sell reinstatement plans so if you let your plan lapse, you essentially need to buy the software again.

You could look for old stock at online resellers and you may get lucky.

Then you need a reinstatement. Some third party resellers like Sweetwater may still have some in stock. Avid stopped selling reinstatement plans at the beginning of this year. If you can't find one then if you want a perpetual license you'll have to pay full price for PT.

Be sure to renew while your plan is still active. Much cheaper and less hassle. Can also set auto-renew on your Avid Account.

Sweetwater does appear to still have the reinstatement plan for $299: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...e-expired-plan. So that's worth doing now--it's half the price of a new plan. Once various vendors that still had stock on the reinstatement plan run out, you'd have to pay the full price of a new perpetual license, so it's worth thinking about keeping up on the yearly renewal for the newer software for $199 if you think you want to keep updating to later versions of Pro Tools.
