Whatever way you go take your time. Make sure you have enough room to take things apart as well as have anti-static precautions. You may not feel the zap but could still sustain damage.

Most importantly have a well tested clone of your working system. That's a good thing to have anytime as it can save your bacon when things go south.

One more important thing to have is ZDT (zero downtime) insurance on your iLok.
