Default ProTools LE Crashing on Me

Hey, I just purchased a new Mbox 2 from my local Guitar Center. I tried installing the windows disc on my tower PC and also the the windows on my mac. However, when I install it to my mac OSX, everything is fine up until I actually launch the program from my docking bar. It makes the grey screen curtain fall down and makes me reboot (if anyone else has ever seen that, they know what I mean). So.... Can anyone help me out? Been trying to figure out a way to update software drivers or something but to no avail.... =\

If you are on an intel mac you have to use the universal binary version or it will crash.

Is that something I can download? Or where can I get that at? The only discs I got with the Mbox were the Version 7.0 LE discs for windows and mac or the other older LE version 6.8.1 for mac OSX.

So without any information on the OS, the PT version nor the computer, it is very difficult to help.

For an Intel Mac, you need at least 7.1.1. If you have 10.4.9 on your computer, make sure you have the COMBO Update.

Yes you should be able to download the version 7.1.1 LE off the support and downloads from the digisite. Make sure they are universal binary. That should work with your current V7 digi serial number.
