Default Kontakt 4.0.5 rtas plug-in causing some anomalies in Pro Tools HD 8.0.3

I'm noticing some odd behavior in Protools with Kontakt 4. When I place the Kontakt 4.0.5 plug-in in the Pro Tools 8.0.3 plug-in folder and launch Pro Tools, it causes some strange anomalies. If I try to drag audio from mac finder into the edit window I get a spinning beach ball for about 15 seconds, then the waveform appears. I also noticed that a to z is disabled and cannot be re-enabled unless I shut down Pro Tools and restart. The problems will continue until I remove the Kontakt plug-in, delete the prefs, then zap the pram. All is back to normal if I do this. Anyone else experiencing this kind of erratic behavior with Kontakt 4 in Pro Tools HD?

WHAT?!? You don't say! A Native-Instruments plugin that's buggy?!?

Impossible!!!

Native Instruments product have the finest coding ever written and the most courteous and caring support staff behind them ever assembled!

For fairness sake, Kontakt is one of the best and most powerful VIs ever made...when it's working. However, personally, I find AIRs VIs to be thicker, richer, creamier...much more so in fact. NI VIs don't sound good to me in general...they sound hard and thin. (I do kinda like the B4 II)

Yea, it's rock solid on my end too, with the exception of this one problem which is kinda annoying. The only time it acts up is if I drag files from finder into the edit window so I'm not sure what settings would agitate that. Strange thing is, if I import the files with apple+shift+I the audio comes in without a hiccup.
So you and Ron have both dragged files from finder into your edit window with no problem? Also, I'm on 8.0.3 not the cs1 version.

Thanks for your help with this.
