Backward compatibility of HD
heya all. i just got back from the HD demo, and surprise, surprise.... the Digi rep informed us that all sessions done on older systems, ie mix, mix+, WILL NOT open in HD.
I guess not being able to load the plugs you previously had is an issue, but according to the rep, HD will not allow you to open the session at all. I would've assumed that at the very least, the digi rack plugs, edit, routings and automation would've been avaliable. Is this true? will HD not deal with older sessions? This would be a major problem.. i work in a post house and more often then not, i haveta go back to jobs that are atleast 6 months old. Any HD guys here care to shed light on this one? Thanxs.
