Default Keyboard midi input not recognized

Pro Tools LE 8 Mbox 2 Mini is not recognizing my keyboard MIDI input. I have a Yamaha PSR-295 that is recognized by my computer, however Pro Tools does not acknowledge it. My Mbox and keyboard are both connected to my PC. I have followed the instructions to record MIDI on an instrument track, but I simply do not get the MIDI sound described in step #11. I've had this software for too long to not get what I need from it. Please help me so I can make very necessary use of this product!

Thanks,
rthomas73

Default Re: Keyboard midi input not recognized

Did you go into the Pro Tools Midi Studio setup window and assign a device and midi port? That needs to be done before any midi device will talk to Pro Tools.

Default Re: Keyboard midi input not recognized

That's what I get for starting with Getting Started. OK, I've started setting up the MIDI Studio Setup and my model is not available, so I chose "None". Therefore, therre are no Input or Output port options. What now?
