Time Signatures - Strike + BFD2
My latest project is working with a singer songwriter who does a lot of her stuff in 3/4 3/8 6/8 ect.
I'm having problems getting Strike to play ball at all sensibly and have read that AIR admit that it's a 4/4 drummer only for now !! BFD2 is closer but behaves somewhat erratically. Beats miss and what I see editing and drawing doesn't always match what I hear. I'm moving onto making midi parts on the track as I'm sure this will resolve things but I wanted to use the extra functions and 'play ability' to jam ideas out. Picky I know but I am moving away from midi editing on the screen whilst getting groove ideas together. I've had good results using 4/4 stuff this way, more musically intuitive, productive and fun. Changing time sig I thought would be easy...... mai non. Ideas ???
