Need Help! This is driving me crazy!!!
I see alot of people have had problem with a error saying '' the operating system held off interrupts for too long.If this occurs frequently try increasing the H/W buffer size in the Playback engine panel. This is happening every 5- 60 secs.
I read over alot of threads but couldnt tell who was actually able to solve the problem , i went to the General Troubleshooting thread and did everthing that it said and also uninstalled protools twice and reinstalled it going through the manual.I also downloaded the servoce pack for version 6.4 and installed it but no luck. I would really appreciate if any one had any advice, Heres my computer Specs: Carillon Audio System XP Pentium 4 CPU 3.20 Ghz 1.0 G.B of Ram Im using Pro Tools version 6.4 |

Re: Need Help! This is driving me crazy!!!
That means that your buffer setting is too low. Raise it up a notch or two and it should go away.

Re: Need Help! This is driving me crazy!!!
I'm having the same thing. I cant even get a 3min recording or bounce. Check you task manager is your cpu maxed at 100%. Also happens if hypertheading turned on. Hdd might be fragmented. Firewire Hdd some times works better than internal. Well if i ever get a answer from Digi about my box i'll let ya know! |

Re: Need Help! This is driving me crazy!!!
Tried that but i dunno which services to remove , i removed all the non essential and my computer went crazy so i had to re-check them. I also tried pro-tools with alot of them gone and had the same problem.
Anyone? |

Re: Need Help! This is driving me crazy!!!
Why don't you call Carillon tech support and get one of the guys to dial up your pc and do a remote fix? Carillon PCs are very well optimised for audio when they leave the factory so you shouldn't be getting errors unless you've changed something.
