PT11 Mbox2 no audio output

Bought my son an mbox 2 for Christmas. Had a bit of difficulty getting it to record, but after reading several threads finally settled on the 10.3.3 driver set. We are able to record through the mbox without issue, but the outputs do not work...headphone nor the monitor outputs. The strange thing is that with a mic hooked up, that live mic does come through headphones/monitor out (left side only with input 1, right side with input 2). That pass through is regardless of any record enabled tracks in PT or even if PT is launched (so I'm guessing that is by design).

I've trashed prefs, playback engine is set to mbox, I/O is correct. Can anyone give some guesses as to why I'm not getting any output (regardless of mix knob)???

This is on a MacBook Pro (mid-2010) 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4GB memory running Yosemite. PT is 11.3.

Go to your System Prefs, and click on MBox2 icon. Wait til it says connected. Also, check your playback options in PT, and your mix knob/mon mute switch on the MBox.
