Default Xpand2 - how can i create a favourites folder

Hi guys,

The more i use xpand2 the more i love it. For certain things.

There are so many sounds and I'm trying to work out how to save a list of my favourites- does anyone know how?

I have created a folder to put them in in the presets menu, but it seems I have to then manually 're save' each sound into that new folder.

Anyone understanding my waffle?

Thanks

Could it be done behind the scenes and just copy and paste the ones you want from one folder to a new one you created as your favorite? (windows explorer basic file management.)

Maybe try saving your favorites as a new preset in a new folder? I don't use Xpand2 much but a lot of synths will allow you to save a preset as a new one in a folder sometiems called 'user'.

What version of PT? This might be a good use of setting up instances of Xpand and saving them as Track Presets (newer feature). That way you can not only save the settings in Xpand, you can include any plugs/settings in the channel strip. Some good examples of Track Presets are included in the 2018.1 Xpand download.

Since Xpand does not have a "Favorites" button, like some synths do, the only way to really do this is to do what you're doing. Create your "Fav's folder" and then save the patches you want in there one at a time. The advantage of doing this is 1)you can tweak the sound a bit to make it your own, and save that. 2)You can create layered sounds as well with your favs to save separately.

Not sure its really that big a deal to just re-save whatever patches you want as favs as you go along. YOu don't have to do them all at once. Just do them as you use them and eventually they will all be in there.

I would like to see an "Add to Favorites" feature, though because there are so many patches on Xpand! I'm sure I've still not heard them all, and I've had it for 10 years plus!
