Default ALT + TAB will not toggle between programs in Windows 10 When Pro Tools is open

In PT12 (on Win10) when I try to "Alt, Tab" out of PT and into the last used window it will not work. I think this is because PT is using ALT and SHIFT as modifier keys for Pro Tools functions and stop the O/S function of toggling b6etween windows.

PT "owns" the keyboard. Try moving the cursor so that it is over the Taskbar, outside of PT, then try Alt+Tab.

Thanks for your reply. I know that this is a workaround, but it kinda defeats the purpose, as ALT TAB is meant for quick switching between windows. If I was going to the taskbar, I might as well click the desired window I want to switch to. Any other suggestions for overwriting this command that PT is controlling?

Interesting, I used to have this problem but it went away a while ago, I think upgrading to Windows 10 or PT12 helped but I'm not sure. Last time I had something like this there was a disc in the DVD drive.

Try alt-esc if you don't have too many apps open (though I don't know if PT10 passes any keys at all to the OS). The alt-tab thing works in the more recent releases.
