Pro Tools Essentials--Reversing

Hi I am new here and to all of music producing in general. I got Pro tools essentials for christmas and have been messing around with it. I want to reverse a symbol sound so it goes from quiet to loud instead of loud to quiet. I know there is a reverse option under audio suite BUT i don't know how to use it. I have the track set to regions and I select the region that the symbol sound is in then go to the reverse option and click process. When i hit process it says "No audio was selected".

What do i need to do different?

Ok maybe this is the problem, this is not an audio track, it is an instrument track i used a keyboard to put the crash in. and with instrument tracks there is no waveform.

ok so my instument track in set up like this IN 1-2(Stereo) and OUT 1-2(Stereo) so how do i make the output of the instrument rtrack be the input of the audio track?

Sorry i have so many questions i have had this software for 5 days.

Ok i got it to work BUT now when i click process it goes for a little while and then i get this message "Unable to create a new audio file on drive "PRESARIO""

Ok nevermind i got everything to work and now my track is done!!
