Nope! Avid is a Audio/Video Company and they are a "Trustworthy" Company! Do you think ALL the BIG Studios and Post Houses would deal with a untrustworthy company?!

Read the manual and do the correct installations of everything and if you have your setup according to Avid Specs you should not have these issues you double posted on several threads so follow the troubleshooting steps Exactly how it is written and you should get the system running as we have it runnig again ..
Pro Tools is Not a PlugNPlay DAW and requires some finnicking but well worth it.

Is AVID a Trust Company?

Avid is a good company. You just need to properly setup your computer. Is this on your Mac or Windows machine as you don't say which? If you could post the whole error message it would help.

Best thing to do in this case is quit Pro Tools, and check your core usage with Activity Monitor (mac) or Resource Monitor (win).

I'm willing to bet you'll see the same heightened activity on one or more cores, just from the OS and background processes.
