Default Feature Request: Import Session Data \"time range\"

Hi,
It would be great if there was an enhancement to Import Session Data that would let the user define the "time range" of the import. To do a rebalance, for example, you could Import Session Data and specify the footage "9+00 to 343+12", or a timecode value, or whatever.
I searched for the Feature Request Form, but could not find it. Perhaps a sticky is in order, or maybe put the link in the "Help Us Help You" thread?

Thanks in advance!

a friend and i were talking about this yesterday that there really should be a way to manipulate sessions without opening each one and loading up all the dsp... it would be great for doing things like merging reels at the end of a mix, or changing pesky start times when importing tracks. even, as others have mentioned, a way of loading up a session with all plugins and routing inactive so it loads as quickly as possible, like a session safe mode.
