Default transferring sessions q...

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find anything.

whats the best way to transfer sessions that were recorded in different sample rates.
my main concern is transferring back and forth between a digi001(48) with the digi002(96).

i suppose going down to the 001 from the 002 should be fine, but can i go 96 down to 48?

and to add another twist... for a little while i'll be going from os 9 to os x. any problems there?

Thanks in advance,
Jim
