M Box 2 Headphone Latency!!
Im buying a new computer for my M Box 2 to run Pro Tools LE 7.0 smoothly....It's 2 Gig of ram an 1 250 gig harddrive an 1 500 gig hardrive...Dual Proccesor 1.8..Im wondering will i still have Headphone Latency? It kind of throws off my recordings..I want to be able to hear myself in the headphones as i go an be able to turn the vocals up in my headphones without the vocals peaking? Will i be able to do all this? Thank You

Also, your post is a bit confusing, you are talking about headphone latency and "vocals peaking" which are two different things. More info is needed. Shane

Re: M Box 2 Headphone Latency!!
I am not buying a new computer for headphone latency. Im buying a new computer to run Pro tools smoothly. Im just wondering what should i do to get rid of the headphone latency, on my vocals especially. I also want to be able to turn my vocals up in the headphones so i can hear them better without making them peak? Is that possible?

Re: M Box 2 Headphone Latency!!
I find this a problem, too.
You say Mute the track but if that's done I wouldnt be able to hear myself at all.

Re: M Box 2 Headphone Latency!!
yes.
also while recording you will probably want to decrease the h/w buffer size in pro tools to 128 samples. |
