Pro Tools 12, initializing audio engine

I've just installed Protools 12.4 from scratch on a freshly formatted drive with a fresh install of El Capitan on a mid 2010 8* core Mac pro (5,1). I'm Running an HD Native card (slot 4) and an HD Omni.

I can boot protools using the computer's line out, but when I switch to HD native it hangs.

Any ideas?

Did you install the HD driver?

Yep. Installed the HD driver. Everything in the Application manager says it's up to date. I even did a clean uninstall and re-installed from scratch again with the same results.

Solved. Had to reset the Omni.

Hit the Setup button on the right front panel of the HD Omni so that it lights up green.

Turn the MONITOR encoder to right a few times so that the display says CNTRST, click back one click to the left and it should say RESET.

Press the MONITOR encoder button to select RESET.

Press the MONITOR encoder button again to confirm RESET.

Next, power off the HD Omni for approximately 30 seconds, then power it back on. Restart your computer and launch Pro Tools HD.
