Default Need help with my new macbook and pro tools

Hi,

I have just received my new macbook as part of my work's ongoing 3 year lease of these laptops. I was just about to try and install my disk version of PT 9 and then realised my new laptop is running OS X 10.9.3!

Please tell me there is something I can do to overcome this problem!

Thanks

Upgrade your PT 9 license to PT 11.

... or partition your disk and create a dual-boot setup. You will of course need a OS X install disk with a version that PT9 is compatible with, f.ex 10.6.8.

Sorry in advance if I´m overlooking something but when it´s a new Macbook
I guess it will not be possible to install any prior OS on it.
Isn´t that right?
It would have to be an Early 2011 MBP or one earlier to be able to install 10.6.8 on it I think.
No way to install 10.6.x on a recent machine.

As far as I know the only option will be to upgrade to PT11 unfortunately.

All the best,

VRW

Seriously

I have a friend in Jerusalem living with a backpack full of daily supplies, just in case they are called in a bunker for few days... I find this joke not amusing :/
