ProTools LE Crossgrade Question

Last November, I purchased a ProTools bundle (I think it was for around $500-$600) equipped with ProTools LE, an M-Box, a couple of plug-in packages, headphones, and a mic (I believe this is it: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Avid-Pro...12-i1562751.gc). Recently, I was looking into making the transition to ProTools 9 sometime this summer when I had an extra $250 available.

However, I talked to somebody from Guitar Center today about the crossgrade and he said I would need to purchase the full-on upgrade in order to get ProTools 9.

When I went to check out what this guy was saying, I found this link (http://shop.avid.com/store/product.d...24639693075136). The text in red kind of threw me off and I'm a little unclear about what the eligibility restrictions are for the crossgrade.

Am I able to crossgrade to 9 from what I currently have? Or will I have to shell out the extra cash to full-on upgrade? Any help I can get on better understanding my situation is greatly appreciated.

If your Mbox 3rd gen came with PT8 bundled then yes you can use the cheaper upgrade path. You'll need a credit card and the serial number of your unit plus you'll need a valid iLok and iLok account for the PT9 authorisation to sit on.

Okay, so as long as I bought PTools 8 LE bundled with my MBox, I qualify for the crossgrade.

It could be 7.4 or 8 LE but it must be a 2nd or 3rd generation Mbox - but not the original one from donkeys years ago.
