You'll have to put PT into low-latency monitoring mode ..and then record
enable the tracks you want to hear.

For some, it may be too much even in low-latency mode

Plus you are linited on how many inputs and outputs. Seems like a Mackie would be way cheaper. I have thought seriously about using an 002r and laptop as a portable effects rack for verbs and delays. Since most bars have crap AC power, I would recommend a good UPS if you try it.

good points. i don't really think the 002 and 003 series were designed
for live mixing .. they're really designed for tracking into protools and
as a controller for protools (in the non-"r" versions).

the digi live tracking stuff is the Venue series... and that's some serious
bucks.

while I hope digi comes out with a live-tracking offering in the LE price-range,
the today's 002 and 003 products are not designed for what you wish to
use them for.

Hi

I made a patch and standalone in max/msp to use my oo2r as a mixer. It routes each stereo input to the 8 outputs. I never used it live though...

You can check it out at http://www.friendlyvirus.org/zelub.html
