Default Mic Connection to Xmon or Omni

I need to record a simple voice over but I never set Mic here.
I have Xmon and Omni and D-Command.
Could you help me and let me know how should I connect my Mic to my system?
Is it better to connect it to Omni ( Back or Front ) or Xmon ?
Which option for Omni must be change to control the Mic?
Thanks a lot in advance.

The mic would need to connect to the Omni only. The only mics that connect to X Mon are Talkback and Listen mics which are just used for communications.

The mic pres are up front on combo connectors and around back as well on XLRs.
