Pro Tools 10 HD very slow to close
Like the title says, after either a project is closed or I quit with a project still open, it takes several minutes for Pro Tools 10 HD to close. I am not working from NAS nor do I have a very large disk cache allocated. This is on Win 7 Pro 64 bit on an Avid qualified HP. 9 never exhibited this behavior. The D-Command and peripherals go offline almost instantly, but the main application window stays open for an extended period of time.

Re: Pro Tools 10 HD very slow to close
I get the same thing on 1 of 3 PT10 HD systems on Windows 7 64bit machines.

Re: Pro Tools 10 HD very slow to close
I removed a couple of plugins to the unused plugins folder when prompted and it fixed the problem.

Re: Pro Tools 10 HD very slow to close
It's the Windows Installer Service. Set it to Manual instead of Automatic and that should allow Pro Tools to close properly without having to End Task it or waiting for it to close.
