Number Pad Enter Key doesn't do New Memory Location

Hi Folks, I had asked this question before and there was no real helping reply, so I forgot about it a little but it keeps bothering me.
I bought this bluetooth keyboard and it all works fine apart from the fact that the enter key on the numeric keypad does not create a new memory location but resets the marker to the beginning of the session. It's not because of pref settings and thrashing them is also of no effect. Is there a way to create another shortcut for this task ?
