How do I read error messages created by protools

I need to read and error message created by protools. It gives me the directory to look in but how do I open it up. The file extention is .ptx and when I double click it say windows can't open it.

This utility lets you view the interior of files.It won't open them, but you can read what is inside.You want the one at the top of the page WINRAR 3.30..It's a 40 day free trial version.
