I’d LOVE to know how many of these people give substantial discounts to regular clients or do revisions for free.

No one wants to pay or overpay for things, but it is really tiresome reading people complain about pricing. It’s pretty fair if you ask me.

The intro pricing is the one that really grinds my gears. Why has it become a given that EVERY new plugin MUST have an intro pricing sale?

Oh Yes count me in! I admit that I often make revisions for free for my old customers. I am not cheap from the beginning and this is a part of my service.
And my clients know it and it's a nice addition to the artistic and professional reasons they come to me.
Regarding discounts the same situation. Lets face it everyone wants a discount at today market reality. I do provide a certain discount especially for my existing customers.

Back to Pro Q3. I never asked it to be free... Few years ago I bought Cedar DNS One for $3000 and never looked back.
I am happy to pay for unique tools which increase my workflow speed and quality. With all my love to FF, this is a great EQ with some convenient features.
For music folks it might be a great plus to have a dynamics EQ in it.
For the post pros, the FF only got into the multichannel area... but thats it.
Not sure that Q3 will speed up my workflow.
So speaking as a client of FF Pro Q2 I am not willing to pay for revisions I don't need. And finally supporting a surround platform is too late and this still needs to be tested for the tool which will be inserted on hundreds of tracks.

If you've never used a dynamic eq or multi-band compressor (and these are two different things) to work on dialogue, you're missing out.

Same for using it to clean up backgrounds for a natural sound.

Definitely not a music-only benefit if you know the tools.

If you have more FabFilter plugins, you get an even larger discount (as they've always done)
Understood & thanks. What isn't mentioned is any type of grace period for those who just purchased Q2 during the Black Friday sale.

The thing that I'm getting at is these things should be posted on their website for an official statement.
