Can I SAFELY power up Artist Series units from a power rail?
I would like to be able to just turn on one switch and turn all of these units on. So, 1) CAN I leave them all "on" and power them up from a common power rail switch and 2) Will doing this cause any kind of cumulative damage?

Yes you can do this but I'm sure you will still need to press the power button.

Yes we had the 4 units connected to one power rail BUT you still have to press the power button on each unit as they dont come on by themselves.

Re: Can I SAFELY power up Artist Series units from a power rail?
Then the answer is "NO." If I still have to push 4 or 5 power buttons to turn all of the units on, then putting them on a power rail, for one button powering up, will make no difference.
