Default The 8.0.5 update has broken my computer

I've just run the PT LE 8.0.5 update and my computer now hangs on "loading operating system" (which is Windows7).

Any suggestions? Version 8 was previously working ok.

Try launching Windows in SAFE MODE and then reboot. This doesn't seem to be a common issue so I'm guessing its unique to your system.

f that doesn't fix it I would boot into Safe Mode and un install the 8.0.5 update and see if that makes a difference. I would update your PACE drivers if they are not the latest version and try the update again.

Also you may want to disable DEP if you haven't already. Just a hunch.

Ok, thanks.

Can somebody explain why the PACE drivers might be an issue?

i have same issue. Mbox 2 mini and latest drivers works fine with Ableton DAw. Id rather work with pro tools but loading it causes numerous BSOD,s. This is true with several different mobo's and processors. Haven't found a solution yet but to not use pro tools. Sucks....

In LE software, the PACE drivers control authorization.

But why would they prevent the system from booting?

I also have not been able to use .5. I had to uninstall & go back to .4. I had Windows Explorer problems. I must admit that I didn't try to work things out, I just gave up & all has been fine for me ever since.
